Dancing Shoes

So Emaya and her friend Macey started ballet class together about a month ago. They absolutely love it. And I, of course, LOVE watching her! She recently had her first dance recitals and it was so cute watching these 3 and 4 years olds up on that stage. I thought Emaya would be nervous in front of a big crowd since she is pretty shy, but it didn't even phase her, she loved every second of it!

Oh How I Love the Holidays

Winter is here...as much as I hate cold weather, the kids sure love snow for some reason so we try to enjoy it as much as we can. We had a huge snow storm, and of course, since we live so close to the mountain we get so much more than we're used to. But thankfully the kids have such a wonderful dad who loves entertaining them and doing all the things I hate doing...i.e. playing in the snow :) Jaxyn had fun for a minute, but isn't a big fan of being cold but Emaya loved playing in the snow. They even made a snow monster...I didn't get a picture :(

Also, we took the kids to Christmas Village and saw all the lights and most importantly...SANTA! Jaxyn and Emaya were so excited. But of course, the second it was Jaxyn's turn to sit on Santa's lap he freaked out! He doesn't do so well with characters in costume lol. Emaya thought for sure she was talking to the real Santa and was anxious to tell him she just had to have a Strawberry Shortcake house! I'm pretty sure Santa listened ;) Even Lexy sat on Santa's lap, she was in awe haha. She wasn't sure what to think of him, but he sure fell in love with her, who wouldn't?? :)

Decorating for Christmas

As soon as we digested our Thanksgiving dinner we decided to put up our Christmas decorations. I didn't get a chance to take too many pics, but I'll post a few. We had a lot of fun. The kids decorated their tree and of course all of the decorations ended up one part of the tree lol. It's ok, it turned out great. Mostly we had a lot of fun doing this together. Even Lexy helped out :)

Christmas came a little early

Well...I've never personally been a pet person. Spencer and I both weren't fond of the idea of ever really owning a pet. But life doesn't always happen as planned. Back about 6 or 7 years ago, Spencer and I were just dating and decided to buy a cute little Shih Tzu puppy. She was adorable! We named her Phoebe...we were really into Friends at the time haha. Well anyways, life moved us from Price to Layton, where we couldn't keep her anymore, it was a sad day for us. We were attached and couldn't bear the thought of giving her to someone we didn't know, so we gave her to my brother. She had a great home there and of course we visited her from time to time over the years. We always loved her and wished we could've kept her. Here we are 6 or 7 years later, we find out that my brother can't keep her anymore....so where does she end up? At my house on Thanksgiving!!! Emaya is so excited to have a doggy and Jaxyn and Lexy love her as well! It will take some time to adjust for Spencer and I but we're so happy to welcome her back to our family!

Friends for Life

So recently Jaxyn has had some issues sleeping in his bed all night. He usually ends up in bed with us at some point. One morning I woke up surprised to find that Jaxyn was not in bed with us. I walk into his bedroom and this is what I found...

I love how close they are. They keep eachother entertained for hours. I love hearing their giggles coming from the other room. I hope their close bond remains with them through life.

Halloween 2009

Well I know it's already the week of Thanksgiving, but I wanted to post some pics of Halloween. We had a kids party at our house this year for Emaya's little friends. It was a lot of fun! They decorated pumpkins, had spooky food and went trick or treating through the house! After 2 1/2 hours of entertaining 2-4 year olds I was beat! Props to all of those who teach for a living, I do not have it in me to do that everyday!
Spencer and I then put the kids to bed with Grandma and headed to Jason and Brandy's house for another party...that was a fun night! I've been told that the "fun" Elisha comes out with a few drinks :)I know I definitely had a good time!
This year was our first halloween in our new neighborhood, we were pretty excited to take the kids trick or treating since we are nosey and wanted to see the inside of some of these beautiful homes haha. It was off to a rough start, Jaxyn didn't want to walk up to the doors, wouldn't hold his bag and wouldn't ride in the stroller. Emaya was annoyed that she was being held back by Jaxyn. :) Lexy could care less about any of it and decided to take a nap! After a few homes, Jaxyn got into it and was excited to knock on the doors...until he took off running and missed three stairs and fell head first onto the concrete. Surprisingly, he was fine and ready to continue after a few minutes. Emaya was scared of the homes with scary decorations and wouldn't go near them, she even ran out into the street when a guy started chasing kids with a chan saw haha. Poor girl was terrified! We didn't stay out long, they had already done the trick or treating earlier in the day at my work and got TONS of candy. So after about an hour we went home and they had fun handing out candy to last of the trick or treaters. It was a great Halloween..now onto Thanksgiving...and best of all BLACK FRIDAY SHOPPING! I cannot wait! I've got it all mapped out and I am so ready to beat anyone down that gets in the way of my deals haha ok maybe not, but I'm excited to go shopping! Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving!

Playing a little catch up...

Alrighty...I'm going to try and play catch up for all this time that I've never blogged! Let's see...where do I start:
I got somewhat of a promotion, if you'd like to call it that. My job at HBS was not very stable, people getting laid off and no work..kinda scary. So I decided to post out and ended up getting another job...so now I'm an Email Compliance Team Lead! It was a very nice raise and now my title sounds cool lol. So I started this week...i haven't done ANYTHING. This is partly why I created a blog...i'm bored out of my mind! haha. Hopefully I'll have work to do soon...
Emaya started ballet lessons with her best friend Macey a few weeks ago. She loves it! They have their first performance in December! I am so excited to see what she's learning. I'll definitely post tons of pics too! She's also in preschool, and is LOVING it. I volunteered last week and actually had a lot of fun. She was so excited to share her mommy with her classmates. I could definitely NOT do that job every day of my life though...20- 4 year olds is way too many!
Jaxyn...well nothing is really new with him. He is 2 after all...his days make up of eating, diaper changes, cartoons and picking on his older sister! I would love to say he's potty trained, or close to it...but I'd be a big fat liar! He just isn't there yet. Hopefully soon. He feels so left out right now because Emaya goes to school, dance and until recently, she was going to soccer. He wants to be involved in all of that also, but he just isn't old enough yet....soon enough.
My baby girl Lexy. Well she is growing like a weed! She is just about 6 months old and has the cutest little personality. She is such a good baby. She has slept through the night since she was about 3 weeks old. I'm so lucky.
And good ol Spencer....his schedule at work recently changed..he now works three days and then is off three days. I LOVE IT!!! I see him a lot more than I used to. He is such a hard worker...I really appreciate all he does for us. Together we provide a wonderful life for our family! Ok...i think this is probably a long post...I'll post more later!

Family Pics Summer 09

Well these are kind of old, but these are the only family pictures we have with all three kids. These were taken the end of July after I had my baby girl...so that is why I'm extra fat haha. It was the middle of the summer day, so it was so hot and the kids were not excited about taking pictures at all. But we got a few good ones...

Well I've done it...

I've created a blog! I've said I was going to do it for a long time now and I've finally done it! Hopefully I can keep this thing updated. It may start off slow until I learn what I'm doing!
