So Emaya and her friend Macey started ballet class together about a month ago. They absolutely love it. And I, of course, LOVE watching her! She recently had her first dance recitals and it was so cute watching these 3 and 4 years olds up on that stage. I thought Emaya would be nervous in front of a big crowd since she is pretty shy, but it didn't even phase her, she loved every second of it!

Dancing Shoes

Oh How I Love the Holidays
Winter is here...as much as I hate cold weather, the kids sure love snow for some reason so we try to enjoy it as much as we can. We had a huge snow storm, and of course, since we live so close to the mountain we get so much more than we're used to. But thankfully the kids have such a wonderful dad who loves entertaining them and doing all the things I hate doing...i.e. playing in the snow :) Jaxyn had fun for a minute, but isn't a big fan of being cold but Emaya loved playing in the snow. They even made a snow monster...I didn't get a picture :(
Also, we took the kids to Christmas Village and saw all the lights and most importantly...SANTA! Jaxyn and Emaya were so excited. But of course, the second it was Jaxyn's turn to sit on Santa's lap he freaked out! He doesn't do so well with characters in costume lol. Emaya thought for sure she was talking to the real Santa and was anxious to tell him she just had to have a Strawberry Shortcake house! I'm pretty sure Santa listened ;) Even Lexy sat on Santa's lap, she was in awe haha. She wasn't sure what to think of him, but he sure fell in love with her, who wouldn't?? :)
Decorating for Christmas
As soon as we digested our Thanksgiving dinner we decided to put up our Christmas decorations. I didn't get a chance to take too many pics, but I'll post a few. We had a lot of fun. The kids decorated their tree and of course all of the decorations ended up one part of the tree lol. It's ok, it turned out great. Mostly we had a lot of fun doing this together. Even Lexy helped out :)

Christmas came a little early
Well...I've never personally been a pet person. Spencer and I both weren't fond of the idea of ever really owning a pet. But life doesn't always happen as planned. Back about 6 or 7 years ago, Spencer and I were just dating and decided to buy a cute little Shih Tzu puppy. She was adorable! We named her Phoebe...we were really into Friends at the time haha. Well anyways, life moved us from Price to Layton, where we couldn't keep her anymore, it was a sad day for us. We were attached and couldn't bear the thought of giving her to someone we didn't know, so we gave her to my brother. She had a great home there and of course we visited her from time to time over the years. We always loved her and wished we could've kept her. Here we are 6 or 7 years later, we find out that my brother can't keep her anymore....so where does she end up? At my house on Thanksgiving!!! Emaya is so excited to have a doggy and Jaxyn and Lexy love her as well! It will take some time to adjust for Spencer and I but we're so happy to welcome her back to our family!

Friends for Life
So recently Jaxyn has had some issues sleeping in his bed all night. He usually ends up in bed with us at some point. One morning I woke up surprised to find that Jaxyn was not in bed with us. I walk into his bedroom and this is what I found...

I love how close they are. They keep eachother entertained for hours. I love hearing their giggles coming from the other room. I hope their close bond remains with them through life.
